Taste of Bexley

20 Oct

The Taste of Bexley at the Franklin Park Conservatory was a wonderful success.  The venue was a delight and the display of Chihuly Glass only added to its charm.  By the size of the crowd I would think this was a huge crowd pleaser and did a lot for Mid Ohio Food Bank.

First up was Bexley Pizza Plus. This is an award winning pizza at its best.  Fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection with very friendly people serving.

Capital U Parkhurst Dining had fresh homemade food.  The Sirloin Beef wrapped around enoki mushrooms with a creamy sauce was mighty tasty.  Then there were the Dessert Shots.  Mouth watering Caramel Apple Pie, a Fudge Brownie which would satisfy any chocolate lover and last but not least the Buckeye which of course was peanut butter, chocolate dessert served in little dishes that was the right size for any dessert lover.

Bruegger’s Bagels served up two soups chicken spaetzle which had chicken, little dumplings and vegetables in chicken broth and very tasty and roasted tomato soup. Their chicken salad was different and very good  with chicken, cranberries, and almonds with tarragon.  The bagel sandwiches were very fresh and mighty tasty.

Then I had the pleasure of  tasting a few things at the Cherbourg Bakery.  I had never had gluten free before and thought the ginger brownie and pumpkin cheese cake were both excellent. They were also serving oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, cut out sugar cookies and brownies.  While the use gluten free they also try to buy local and use the freshest ingredients.
