The Columbus Tastecaster crew were hosted by The Owner Eric Ahlteen. Eric, a musician first, has created a venue for musicians to perform. It is obvious that this is his first mission. From there he surounded the stage with a coffee house. He added the finial touch with local art which is on display and for sale. This is all housed in a old church in the downtown area of Powell.
Upon entering, you see a hand writen sign. You know you are in for an adventure. You are then drawn to a case of hand make potery.
You turn around and are struck by the beauty of the old espresso machine.
As you enter the performance area, you notice a very warm a comfortable space invitting you to sit down and enjoy the music, food, drink, and friends. You might select a sofa to sit on with a Fender gutar head table to sit your drink on.
The Fair
All foods at espresso yourself are made with fresh organic ingredients. They serve a full line of coffee and tea drinks as well as fantastic smoothies made with real fruit. I tried a double espresso. Rich flavor with good crema. The panini sandwiches would be just the thing for a quick lunch.
Just a few of the tweets from the event.
I am going to Espresso Yourself for the first time tonight to see someone perform at 6:30. I am VERY excited about going!!! I will let you all know how it goes tomorrow 🙂
